MY NAME IS JARVIS.
My wife Betsy and I got married on July 15th 2006. We have a solid marriage, but it wasn't always that way. Just two years into our marriage we almost got divorced. The reality is that we had no idea what marriage was or what it was supposed to be.
We both had expectations going into our marriage. When those expectations collided with our reality it left us full of disappointments, hurts, and heartbroken. Instead of giving up and throwing in the towel we decided to work hard to rebuild our broken marriage.
We sought help at a church, went to marriage counseling, assisted marriage conferences, got accountability and held each other accountable!
During this learning experience we realized that we loved helping other couples navigate through their marital problems. We started serving in the same ministry that helped us!
Now through This Is Married Life Membership, This is Married Life Online Community, and This is Married Life Coaching we want to help other couples have breakthroughs in their marriage.
We learned that marriage could be exciting, full of purpose, and adventures!!
After turning our marriage around, we were able to experience the joys of married life. We learned how to communicate with each other in a healthy way.
We learned that marriage did not have to be boring and unfulfilling. Marriage could be exciting, full of purpose, and adventures!!
There will always be conflict in marriage, but we learned how to look at conflict as an opportunity for growth, intimacy, and closeness.
After restoring our marriage we started serving in the marriage ministry at our home church. That time serving and helping other couples from all walks of life not only held us accountable, but also awoke in us a desire and a passion for marriages.
We witnessed countless marriages get restored. We were helping couples change their lives! They were changing their Family Tree! We saw marriages on the brink of divorce turn around, fight for their marriage and win!!
If we can and they can, then you can!!!
After watching how God saved so many marriages we decided to start an online membership community. This is Married Life Community! We will also be launching a Podcast and offering marriage coaching.
